One, the power went off during a storm, yet there was the glow from a night-light in the hallway, and shortly after that the power comes back on. Maybe I missed something. Second, I read the digital version where there were numerous occurrences of sentences dropping to the next line for no apparent reason. There was plenty of room on the current line.Overall, I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book in the series.

Tucker Haynes is from the wrong side of the tracks. His cruel upbringing has left him with a very pessimistic outlook on people and the world in general.Tucker is an undercovercop working in Rascal, Texas. His cover is that he is a homeless man and is wandering in the complex where July lives. A rare snowstorm has July offering him a warm place to stay and a hot meal until the weather changes. This is the beginning of a great story and you will have to read the book to see what happens between July and Tucker. You won't regret it.

I loved the undercover police officer plot. July is such an amazing woman. So sweet and soft hearted. Tucker is a tortured soul that had some family things to take care of before he could fully commit. Great book!!

She is a do-gooder. A social worker looking to help everyone but herself. He is an undercover cop looking to nab had guys. What they go thru ... Well you seriously need to read this while series!

Another great read. The Texas Rascal series just keeps getting better with each book. Can't wait for the next. You can't go wrong with a Lori Wilde book.

I was so looking forward to reading this book and excited but little did I know it would take me on a journey to learn that given and receiving is still very important in life...and learning how to let go of the past. Thank you Lori Wilde once again for keeping the mystery and excitement alive!!!! And let's not for get the love !!!

Shaq is one of the most interesting characters in the game's history, and this book provided great insight into his career and his thought process as he went through each journey. And although some may not like this, it seems to stay very true to Shaq's writing rather than an editor's. This means there are grammar and spelling errors here and there, and the organization could use some work, but personally I appreciate the feeling that this is Shaq's account, and not an indirect interpretation. It's very easy to hear his voice in the writing, which overall makes for an entertaining and interesting read.

I enjoyed reading the book. Shaq is honest about his feelings about people and situations. He openly talked about some of his fellow NBA players such as DWade, Kobe, LJames, etc. It's interesting to hear what the real reasons are as compared to what you hear thru the media including NBA commentators. I agree with Shaq that a NBA player's success shouldn't be just based on how many championship rings you have. After all, it's not like golf where you're playing by yourself. You need a good situation such as another great player or two, and a very good coach and owner and GM that are supportive. Shaq and Kobe, MJ and Pippen, the big three in Miami, the big three/four in Boston, etc. And the supporting players need to be basketball smart as Shaq noted and hit the open shots. Shaq has a full life coming from a very poor beginning. A nice, success story.

This was a fantastic book describing Shaquille O'neals life from start to finish. I must say that even though his father was extremely tough on him as a child, he made sure Shaq stayed on the right path. His father was a funny guy as well as you will discover during the beginning stages of this book. This book also changed some of my views on Kobe Bryant because I realized their relationship wasn't as dramatic as the mainstream media made it out to be. It was far from perfect but you need to read the book in order to understand that statement. I also respect the fact that Shaq has always dedicated himself to giving back to his community. Shaq is one of the most charismatic athletes in history. He has always been the type of person to do things simply because he wants to, never being scared of looking silly. He goes into that side of his life in this book, but he also touches on deeper things. He describes his relationships with a few of his teammates and as you can imagine, they weren't always great. You can tell his parents have had a great influence on him throughout his life and he proudly speaks on that. Shaq's biggest quality has never been his talent on the basketball court, or the fact that he can make people laugh in many different ways. His biggest quality is definitely his good heart and it's easy to see why so many people love him. This book is great read as you will get an inside look into Shaquille's world.

When Shaq said uncut, that is what he meant. He did not sugarcoat his life. I enjoyed the narratives even though I am not a sports enthusiastic person.

I decided to buy this book for two reasons: I followed most of Shaq's career as a pro closely, and I'm a Jackie MacMullan fan. Because of Jackie's excellent previous book on Magic and Bird, I had my expectations very high for this one. It's a first person account, it is written like Shaq would tell it so very informal, and it's pretty short. It was ok for me reading it while waiting for my flight and/or waiting for my visa interview, but I don't recommend it.
